Connectors bring files from accounts you already use into Pascal: a site survey in Google Drive, a client brief in OneDrive, mood-board Pins on Pinterest, a spec in a GitHub repository. Connect an account once and it’s available in every project of the workspace. Pascal only reads from connected accounts; it never changes anything in them.

Connect an account

  1. Open Connectors in the sidebar, under Workspace (editor.pascal.app/connectors).
  2. Choose Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, Pinterest or GitHub.
  3. Click Connect Google Drive (or the service you picked), then choose an account on the service’s page and allow read-only access.
There is nothing else to set up: no file picker, no project selection. Connected services are listed first, and each service’s page shows its accounts with Reconnect and Disconnect. Click Connect another account to add a second account for the same service; each keeps its own sign-in. For GitHub, you also choose which repositories Pascal can read. If none appear in Files, click Choose repositories, pick them on GitHub and return to Pascal.
Google Drive is currently limited to invited testers. Pinterest covers public Pins and boards only; personal and Business accounts can both connect, but Pinterest may limit access to some items.

Who can use your account

A new connection is private. In an organization workspace, teammates can see that you connected a service, but not your account name, files or results. Each account on the service’s page has a sharing action:
  • Google Drive: Show in workspace only shows your account details to teammates. It never lends them your Google access. Everyone connects their own Google account, and Google decides which files each person can open.
  • Other services: Share with workspace lets current members use the account’s files; Make private stops it.
Only the person who connected an account can share it or reconnect it. Workspace owners and admins can disconnect anyone’s account without gaining access to its files. Disconnecting doesn’t delete copies already imported into Files.

Use connected files in chat

Bring a source into the AI assistant in either of two ways:
  • Mention it: type @, choose Connectors and pick the account.
  • Paste or drop a link: a Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, Pinterest or GitHub link shows as a compact reference with the service’s icon and the file, folder, repository, Pin or board name. If you have several accounts for that service, mention the one to use.

Private chats

A message with a connector source opens a private chat linked to the project, so files you can open never end up in a conversation your teammates can read. The bar above the composer reads Only you · Read sources and save protected Files, and the chat is marked Only you in the history. Follow-up messages stay private. Click Back to shared chat to return to the project’s shared conversation. In a private chat the assistant can:
  • search and read your connected sources;
  • import a source into Files when you ask, for example “Save this PDF to the project’s Files in a Survey folder”.
It can’t change the shared scene, write project notes or save any other kind of file. Each import runs in its own isolated computer, which has the same limits.

Import into Files

In the editor’s Files tab:
  1. Click +, then From connectors.
  2. Search your connected accounts. Type repo: before a name to search GitHub repositories, or board: to find Pinterest boards. Click Show more files for the next page.
  3. Select a file. Read shows its text without saving anything; Import to Files saves a copy in the project.
  4. Click Open file to view the copy.
Imported copies keep a link to the original and stay in Files after you disconnect the account. Files up to 20 MiB can be imported.

Who can open an imported copy

  • Google Drive: each viewer needs their own Google account connected in the same workspace and current Google access to the original, as well as access to the project. This applies to the file’s name, its preview and its download. If the original changes in Google Drive, the copy becomes unavailable until someone imports the current version again.
  • Other services: anyone with access to the project or workspace file can open the copy.
