You can now use Pascal's furniture-fit skill with Claude Code or Codex to check whether an item occupies the available floor space. Give your agent a measured room, the item's width, height and depth, its intended position, and the spacing you want to keep around it.
The result is footprint fits, footprint does not fit, or insufficient evidence, with the dimensions and limits of the check. A prospective item can be assessed without adding it to your project.

The new task guide walks through this synthetic sofa example and gives you a request to adapt to your own room. If a required measurement is missing, the agent asks for it before assessing fit. A footprint check does not establish overhead clearance, door swing, delivery access, or detailed contact between meshes.
Start from your project
In the hosted editor, save your project and choose Share → Check furniture fit. Copy the task into your agent and add the item's measurements and intended placement. The handoff keeps your project context with the request and links to connection and skill-installation instructions.
For a prospective item that is not already in the scene, use the local CLI preview in the agent setup guide. Hosted and older runtimes can expose fewer checks; the skill inspects the available tools and explains any limitation. A local connection does not automatically open or copy a hosted project.
Install the public skills
The pascal-3d foundation skill covers connection, scene work, validation and saving. furniture-fit adds the focused assessment workflow. Both are available from the open-source editor repository through skills.sh or Pascal's Claude/Codex plugin package, now at version 0.1.3.
Follow the installation guide for your host and project location. Installing a skill supplies instructions; connect MCP separately. Local projects work without a Pascal account. For hosted projects, use a credential for the workspace that contains the project.
